Makro Group

We are a company part of the Dutch group SHV (Steenkolen Handeis Vareeniging), a family organization that originated in the year 1896 in Utrecht, the Netherlands. Over the years, new ventures have joined the group forming a holding company, which currently brings together a range of decentralized operations, operating in different sectors. SHV is one of the most relevant private companies in Europe, it is present in more than 60 countries and has approximately 60 thousand employees. Makro was born in 1968 in Holland and arrived in Brazil in 1972, its first operation in South America. Store nº 01 was inaugurated in the neighborhood of Vila Maria in São Paulo, Capital. Currently, Makro operates in 5 countries in South America, with more than 130 stores, namely: Argentina Brazil Colombia Peru Venezuela
