Use Case Magazine

USE CASE is a magazine about what crypto enables. The invention of the ship also gave us the shipwreck; the creation of the airplane also made real the plane crash, to paraphrase the philosopher Paul Virilio. Blockchains are no different. They are used by inflation-ravaged Argentines and North Korean hackers alike. It gives rise to the simple dualism of FUD or bag pumping. The truth of the matter is far less clear. Permissionlessness is complicated. If the future is already here, just unevenly distributed, we believe crypto is the beneficiary of that unfair distribution. Crypto worked remotely, anonymously, and round the clock before the pandemic hit, making those things a mainstream reality. The stock markets of today look more like an old Bitcoin price chart than the staid inscriptions of the past. Crypto isn’t just the future, it’s already in the future. ​USE CASE is thus a chronicle of what has come and what will be, a thing to collect and to hold for future reconsideration.
