At Merkle Science, I work as a Lead Data Analyst and lead our Data Operations and Intelligence Team. Here I focus mainly on improving our attribution (labeled/tagged BTC, ETH, BCH, XRP, etc addresses) for various crypto entities (Exchanges, Mining Pool, Gambling, Dark Net Marketplaces, Services, Ransomware, Hacks, etc), I also have the opportunity to work on blockchain analytics and research, dashboards building to improve/monitor data quality and customer experience, conducting blockchain investigation training sessions for law enforcement agencies, crypto investigations, data operations, building blockchain investigation products and developing heuristics for clustering different crypto entities.Merkle Science is building cryptocurrencies transaction monitoring and forensics tools to help law enforcement agencies and blockchain companies detect and prevent the illegal use of cryptocurrencies.We believe that in the coming years, cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin and ethereum will play a larger role in the global financial ecosystem (payments, digital banking, insurance, etc.). A new generation of financial applications will be built on these decentralized networks. Consequently, financial crime enabled by these currencies will increase proportionately. We collect intelligence and build algorithms to detect money laundering, usage of darknet transactions (buy/sell drugs, weapons, human trafficking, etc), ransomware and other crimes occurring on these networks.
