Key Accomplishments:- Piloted and co-founded AppZen in direct partnership and collaboration with the organization’s CEO/CTO, serving as a key contributor to its exponential growth and achievement of a $500M market valuation. - Served concurrently as the Head of Engineering, Head of Infrastructure, and Head of InfoSec and Compliance to single-handedly direct the implementation of a new DevSecOps department within the organization, aiming to streamline engineering operations and improve… Key Accomplishments:- Piloted and co-founded AppZen in direct partnership and collaboration with the organization’s CEO/CTO, serving as a key contributor to its exponential growth and achievement of a $500M market valuation. - Served concurrently as the Head of Engineering, Head of Infrastructure, and Head of InfoSec and Compliance to single-handedly direct the implementation of a new DevSecOps department within the organization, aiming to streamline engineering operations and improve the application security to reduce infrastructure costs by more than 60%.- Spearheaded the startup and development of a satellite office and its staff, (comprised of 50+ team members) as a founding member of the organization, successfully operating within a 10K sq. ft. office. - Managed and trained a diverse team of 40+ direct reports to execute daily engineering operations including product releases, development and deployment of new microservices, orchestrating serverless archtecture, and administering application and network security. - Directed the development of dozens of integrations between AppZen and multiple key accounts, including Oracle, SAP, Workday, Coupa, Concur, and Expensify—driving scalability and performance within the architecture of all integrations.- Recognized for automating the company’s deployment pipelines utilizing the latest CI/CD tools, significantly reducing deployment time and increasing productivity. - Played a key role in the analysis and redesign of the company’s Privacy and Information Security policies—delivering ISO, SOC1 and SOC2 certifications for the organization by confirming AppZen operations to the GDPR and CCPA regulations.- Successfully managed and optimized the EDP AWS account supporting a department budget of $2M+, as demonstrated by devising creative and effective ways to scale using docker containers and serverless technology from AWS—resulting in efficient solutions and infrastructure monitoring.
